Trample ALS Heads to Tennessee
Diane Bonfiglio and Jill White, two longtime Trample ALS supporters, to tackle Ironman Chattanooga in an attempt to raise funds for ALS research and awareness.
Hi everyone! As some of you know, Jill White and I are racing Ironman Chattanooga on September 24, 2017. That means that we'll be swimming 2.4 miles in the Tennessee River, then biking 116 miles around the countryside, then running 26.2 miles in the hills around Chatt. We'll hit the water after sunrise and try our darndest to finish before the midnight deadline. I realize that sounds like so much fun that we couldn't possibly need any external motivation besides a free banana (ha ha). But actually, Jill and I are pretty convinced that a task like this is much easier if it has a bigger purpose. And for us, that purpose is to support Trample ALS. We're excited to carry the message and story of Trample ALS with us on our journey to the finish line in Tennessee. We also hope to raise money for Trample ALS, and to that end we'll be asking you to consider donating to the cause. Jill and I have already paid our Ironman registration fees and are covering all our own race costs, so 100% of any money you donate for this will go directly to Trample ALS. Our goal is to raise at least $1,446.00 each, since the race is 144.6 miles long.
